D104 on Realistic trc432

I picked up an Astatic D104 Lollipop mic (love the cool look). It has a four pin plug and works great on my Uniden CB. However, I also have a Realistic TRC432 base CB with a mic conversion plug for four pin to realistic which works well with other four pin mics. Problem is, the Astatic doesnt want to work with the Realistic CB.

When I key up it makes a noise. If I have pre amp on mic turned up, I can hear my voice behind the noise. No change in noise when Pre Amp turned down.
